WHAT OUR READERS SAY...

This is your chance to tell others what you thought of 'Day By Day The Jesus Way', and how it helped you in your walk with Jesus. So, send us your thoughts for consideration.

When there are so many Christian books out there why should you read this book? Here are some comments from a few folks who have already read the book.

" Thank you so much for providing this wonderful study book - free - to our soldiers departing for war. Thousands have received them as they boarded planes for Iraq, etc. I have had many great comments about the quality and timeliness of this resource. Thanks again for your partnership in Military Ministry.
Blessings, "

" It was a joy meeting you both last Tuesday. Your book is more delightful and blessed than I had originally expected. I see too many "see what a good Christian I am" vanity "Christian" books in circulation... so yours was a rebuke to my somewhat healthy skepticism... and a blessing in how simply first it puts our FATHER. It is so lean and clean... which multiplies its impact markedly. With such a direct, simple focus and writing style... it actually stopped a multi-tasker like me "dead in my tracks". It was so pure... it gripped my mind and would not allow it to wander off into self! Instead of your being another contributor to the huge mountain of "jesus junk"... your "Just Jesus" approach is simple, strong, and unignorable (if that's a word... when I can't think of a good word to use... I make them up). Thanks again so much for this valuable gift. And please understand, though I realize you don't know me well, I'm not a sweet talker... if I didn't like your book... I'd be silent... if I really didn't like it... I'd respectfully AND PRIVATELY challenge your efforts as GOD led me. In other words... "Ya dun good"! Thanks again ... for the simple, strong faith flowing from your book... it's a page turner! "

" I have finished going through your book and want to commend you for the obvious amount of work and research you have done to get the relevant scriptures together. Did you perhaps find the "Nave's Topical Bible" a help for that? [Claudia's note: actually, we did it the old-fashioned way, just reading, studying and letting God lead us]. At any rate, we applaud your emphasis on the words of Jesus backed by other various other scriptures. We think this would be an excellent devotional book for young Christians. We want to give a copy to our grandson who is about to enter college. He accepted Jesus as His Savior two years ago. As a teenager he still struggles with a lot of basic issues. We think that if he follows this plan and reads all the related scriptures, it will give him a great foundation for his faith as he enters college. "

" A succinct and effective tool for discipling in the foundational basics of our relationship with the Lord. I especially appreciated the uncluttered centrality of God's Word and the variety of Biblical translations. Additionally, the spirit in which it was prepared and presented makes it useful for any Christian from any culture or denominational background. "

" A valuable resource for the Christian worker, but instructional for the new believer as well. This is a book you will use over and over. "

" Beloved, you are holding a jewel in your hand...a valuable tool. Truly a resource that is timeless because it honours His timeless Word. Let the Word become flesh as you read, study, meditate and get to know your Jesus in a very personal way. "

" 'Day by Day the Jesus Way' is a daily reader of scripture passages organized around basic, practical aspects of Christian living. I've been through it a couple of times, reading mostly the passages that are written out, but looking up a few of the additional references as well. The readings are topically organized and commented upon by the author to highlight the main teaching. To fully appreciate the flavor of this book, you need to understand that Stayton and Claudia came to a vital faith in Jesus Christ about the time most people retire. They have studied the scripture with the delight of a kid left alone in a candy store. The result is a fresh, folksy serving up of the sweep and challenge of the commands of Jesus to his disciples. I recommend this book for those investigating or just beginning the Christian walk, as well as for mature believers who want to revisit the foundations of the faith. "

" The keys to this book as a daily encouragement for devotions are found in two characteristics of the book: (1) the scripture quotes, and (2) the transparency of the author's heart in her comments and titles. For that reason, this book will find an audience among those of us who appreciate straight-forward comments with readable and simply translated versions of scripture. I believe that non-Believers who are sincerely searching the scriptures will be helped by the format and the author's forthrightness. And Believers who want to develop a daily devotional life will find a useful guide in this book, especially because of the large volume of scripture references for each theme."

" Thanks for the suggestion on how to read the book. I will try it. I have so many interruptions that I have a hard time staying up with the books that expect you to read something every day and when you miss a day, you can never seem to get caught up.

Praise God that there are people out there who are gifted to provide the help the rest of us need in order to grow in Christ. You know missions and evangelism involve more than just getting people into the tub. We have to somehow find ways to disciple them. "Make disciples...." that's the key. "
