For years we lacked a first-hand knowledge of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. To us, God was "far off and fancy". And although we yearned to know him, we didn't know how. But he had given us a strong desire to help people. So in 1993 we early-retired and enrolled in a Youth With A Mission course to equip us for mercy (service) work. And in the midst of that school, we discovered the God who loves us -- personally! And we connected with God's precious son Jesus, who lived and died just so we could have an abundant, eternal life with the Father. We still are amazed every day!

We didn't know a lot about Jesus, but we wanted to. So we began learning. I focused on Jesus' words, because he is the center of our faith. (That's why it's called CHRIST-ianity.) Eventually my notes became this book! And now it is used by all sorts of folks: curiosity seekers, new Christians, evangelists, and Christians seeking a deeper personal relationship with their Lord.

Don't think of this book as a complete study, but rather a good place for you to start your own exploration – alone or in a group study. And be patient. True understanding is a life-long process. The daily format lets you focus on a different idea each day of the month. Some days are longer than others. But whether Jesus spoke twice or ten times on a topic, each word is important..

I hope this book will help you understand more about God's amazing love and about his will for your life. Don't just read though. Instead, ask God to show you the truth of the words in your life. Talk to him - and listen to him. Day by day, month by month, spend time with Jesus. Let him spend time with you.
